About this ebook

The first narrative biography of the Bee Gees, the phenomenally popular vocal group that has sold more than 200 million records worldwide -- sales in the company of the Beatles and Michael Jackson. The Bee Gees is the epic family saga of brothers Barry, Robin, and Maurice Gibb, and it's riddled with astonishing highs—especially as they became the definitive band of the disco era, fueled by Saturday Night Fever and crashing lows, including the tragic drug-fueled downfall of youngest brother, Andy. In recent years, a whole new generation of fans has rediscovered the undeniable grooves and harmonies that made the Bee Gees and songs like Stayin' Alive, How Deep is Your Love, To Love Somebody, and I Started a Joke timeless.

I think the author was biased. Seemed to not like Maurice at all, very derogatory toward Barry, and not very complementary of Robin. Spent way too much time on other groups and useless information that had nothing to do with Bee Gees If you’re at Bee Gees band and appreciate their music As it was meant to be appreciated. You have to consider the time, the dress, and peoples attitudes. The book was way too judgmental for my taste don’t waste your money

Almost bought the book BUT after readiung the reviews, I found out the author did not bother doing research to sensitive facts. Case in point, he boldly wrote that the Bee Gees' reinvented sound in the mid-70s was rooted in disco music? The fact, which was all over previous prints & actual interviews is that their new sound was inspired by the music they've always loved which is R&B & the Black Music of the day! If this basic fact can't be straigthened out by this author, then how much more for the second to fifth-hand info that he supposedly researched and gave his very biased opinions? Nope! HIGHLY NOT RECOMMENDED. NO SALE HERE! OUT THE WINDOW!
