About this ebook

EVERYONE GOES HOME

Shrapnel: The Official BattleTech Magazine is your true-north compass toward friendly lines during the blistering, do-or-die BattleMech combat of the 31st century and beyond!

A Dispossessed MechWarrior stuck piloting a hovertank when her home is attacked must rein in her pride and jealousy when an entitled young MechWarrior is assigned to her unit. After an arrogant mistake meant someone never got to go home, a Cable’s Rangers lieutenant is determined to never make this error again, even if it costs her own life. And when the Hsien Hotheads are trapped by minefields, it is up to the daring pilots of their Heavy-Lift (Aerial) Detachment to pull them out of the fire, but these VTOLs are more vulnerable than the ’Mechs they seek to carry to safety…

In this issue, you’ll travel to the Davion Outback, where twin sisters wrestle with their noble duties, calling their own futures into question. Then you’ll head back to Galatea, the Mercenary’s Star, for A Night of Foxfire, the next hijinks-filled installment in the Fox Patrol/Death Kangaroos crossover saga! You’ll also return to the Periphery, where Fronc Reaches Marshal Rick Jacobs faces life-threatening injuries in Part 2 of The Lone Marshal.

Feel right at home in the cockpit with advice on how to make the most of your MechWarrior field rations; a guide to sidearms for the budget-conscious; and an exploration into land-air ’Mechs and QuadVees, and how they relate to historical and modern battlefields. Then fight your way back to a safe haven with intel from technical readouts, unit and planet digests, playable scenarios, and more!

what I really miss about BattleTech is BattleTech that may not make sense but I'm telling you some of these magazines are terrible and one thing I'm noticing about certain authors is there pushing their ideals down our throats I mean I want to read about battlemech fighting each other the Clans the inner sphere all that stuff and with this magazine one particular author I'm reading about how Larry loves Bill and he wants Bill to be his husband all this garbage man I hate when they try to push that down our throats and the particular author I'm talking about is Brian Young I've read all the BattleTech books I think there's one I haven't read and all the shapnel magazines and in the past they never used to do this and now this guy keeps pushing it and it gets real tiring man do I miss the days when BattleTech meant BattleTech and you didn't have authors trying to take advantage of this platform by spreading garbage I mean even the title of this book gives it away I would never recommend this or any of the stories plus they give us a lot less definitely in F minus for this book this series started out great and now we get garbage like this it's really sad because a lot of these authors have good potential anybody reading this I recommend old school BattleTech I also hate that they have the stories that are like the old radio stations tune in next time when the Box Patrol meets the dead kangaroos stupid stuff I remember when the name of mercenary groups were like the gray death Legion and Worcester goons real mercenaries not just dead Kangaroos and the fox Patrol and all this garbage man it's too bad really disappointing when you wait for a book and wait for it when it comes out it wants to being trashy and stupid it's just so disappointing BattleTech used to be the bomb used to be the best I've been reading BattleTech since 1984 I used to be glued to reading the books like not being able to put it down now I read a couple pages and want to go do something and the read another page or two and want to do anything but be the stupid books but I paid for them now I'm stuck with it anybody want to hire a mercenary group called The Fearsome and mighty dead kangaroos boy Michael stackpole really lost it he was one of my favorite authors too
